Challenge
Lake Superior Youth Chorus had grown well beyond its original identity and needed a brand that better reflected the organization it had become. We needed to create a more cohesive visual system to support everything from annual viewbooks to a growing digital presence.
Concept
We refined the existing identity into a cleaner, more flexible system centered around music, movement, and connection. Updated typography, a refreshed color palette, and a simplified mark created a more professional look while keeping the energy and optimism that define the organization. Since the rebrand, we’ve continued to build on that foundation through annual viewbooks and a new website experience.
Outcome
The result is a brand system that feels more mature, recognizable, and ready to grow alongside the organization. Consistent design across print and digital touchpoints helps strengthen how Lake Superior Youth Chorus connects with singers, families, and the community. More importantly, it gives the organization a visual identity that matches the quality and impact of its programs.
Hitting a New Note
The rebrand focused on refinement rather than reinvention. We simplified the existing identity, introduced a more flexible visual system, and created a mark that feels just as energetic and welcoming as the singers it represents. The result is a brand that honors the organization’s history while giving it room to grow.

Looking Sharp
Since 2021, we have worked with the Youth Chorus to create their yearly, seasonal viewbooks featuring all the amazing staff, board, singers, and donors that make LSYC possible. It's truly incredible to see how much the choir has grown and see the same faces coming back year after year. A special thanks to Derek Montgomery for taking all the photos of the singers, staff, and board.
