Challenge
The Carlton-Cook-Lake-St. Louis County Community Health Board wanted to launch a public health campaign to educate the community about cannabis use and safe storage. With growing interest and questions around cannabis, they needed a campaign that would clearly communicate facts, engage diverse audiences, and provide trustworthy resources. The challenge was to develop a name, brand identity, and communications system that could unify messaging across print, digital, and social channels while remaining approachable and credible.
Concept
We collaborated with the Health Board to ideate and research name options, ultimately landing on Speaking of Cannabis to spark conversation while remaining informative and accessible. From there, we developed a complete public health campaign brand system, including a logo, visual identity, and supporting design elements. The system was designed to be flexible across multiple channels and mediums, allowing the campaign to maintain consistency while adapting to different audiences. This identity guided the creation of print materials, digital assets, and a user-friendly website, creating a cohesive and approachable experience for the public.
Outcome
Speaking of Cannabis now delivers a unified, professional, and engaging presence for the Health Board. The Speaking of Cannabis brand system and identity enable clear communication of factual information about cannabis and safe storage. Print and digital materials, along with the new website, provide accessible, user-friendly resources for the community. The campaign has established a credible platform that effectively educates and empowers residents across Carlton, Cook, Lake, and St. Louis counties.
